POLICY:
To establish controls for use and inventory of medical equipment maintained by Chapel By The Sea
SCOPE:
All medical equipment donated to the Chapel.
PROCEDURE:
• Donated used medical equipment such as wheel chairs, crutches, walkers, etc. after inspection and approval by the Parish Health Nurse shall be inventoried and made available.
• Chapel Members, Affiliates and participating friends may borrow needed equipment for the duration of their need on a first come, first serve basis. Equipment must be signed for on the inventory sheet in the Chapel Office.
• One wheel chair is to be maintained on the premises, at all times for use by persons who may need assistance in order to attend Worship or various Chapel functions and programs.
• The Parish Health Nurse shall maintain all equipment on a regular basis and determine its suitability for use.
RESPONSIBILITY:
The Parish Health Nurse has full responsibility for the use, care, and inventory of this equipment.
